Chick-Fil-A
Come eat at Chick-Fil-A for dinner, December 7 between 5 and 7, and the
Kachina PTO will get a portion of the proceeds! All dinners must be eat-in or carry-out--no drive thru--just drop your
receipt in the box! Thank you to Bill Kostel for heading up this evening with the PTO. We look forward to seeing
you there!
Heckuvan easy fundraiser!
Next time you go to Fry's, be sure to take the school's barcode with you and have it
scanned along with your VIP card. Never remember to take the barcode? Drop by the school office and pick up a
barcode sticker to attach to your VIP card, and never forget again! Our
school only has 31 cards linked to our school right now--and we have still already earned more than $21,200 toward
the $50,000 we need to earn a $500 check! Please link your card today!
The barcode needs to be scanned only once per academic year (from Sept to April),
and starting two days after it is scanned, the school will get credit for a percentage of your purchases! Look for the
"Cool Cash" notation on the bottom of your receipts to assure your card is connected!
Water bottles and Snacks
The PTO is continuing to stock the refrigerator with water bottles
for the students to buy. They are $.50 each, and there is a money box in the fridge.
We are also very excited to have a vending machine for snacks. We
can't claim they are all "healthy" snacks, but we promise no candy bars and very little chocolate! Please be sure to
inform your children they are responsible for their own money, and should not ask teachers or fellow students to give them
money for the machine. If you would like to see a particular snack in the machine, be sure to email the PTO, and we
will try to accommodate your requests!
Used Uniforms
A benefit for you AND the PTO! Remember to look for the used uniform rack
under the stairs afternoons. It is only $5 per item--every item! There are all sizes of shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, pants
and shorts. And the inventory is always changing!
(Please donate your old uniforms at the same location!)

Barnes and Noble Book Fair and Gift Wrap
December 12, bring the kids to Barnes and Noble at Desert Ridge
Mall for a Book Fair! All items sold that day from anywhere in the store--including music and the coffee shop--will
earn our school some money! Classes are performing skits, dramatic readings or other fun activities throughout
the day, including Story Time with Mr. Steve and live music! A schedule was sent home with the hours each class
will be featured, and you are encouraged to shop during that time as well.
The book fair runs all day, and from 2:00-6:00 Kachina will be manning
the Gift Wrap table. Bring up your books and other items for students, teachers and parents to wrap...for tips!
The tips go straight to our fund raiser; plus it is a lot of fun for the kids!
Another easy fundraiser!
Don't shop at Fry's? Do you shop at Safeway instead? Guess what!
They have a card program too! You need to link your Safeway Club card to our school through the website: www.escrip.com Look for the "Renew your commitment" checkmark and put your information in. When prompted,
select "Kachina Country Day School North" as the school you wish your donations to benefit (please remember the "north").
If you do any other shopping on-line, you should also register for other
Escrip purchase partners--including Amazon.com, ebay, Staples, Nordsroms and more. You may want to register your debit
card for even more donation power! Check out the site!
Krispy Kreme donuts
Certificates are available in the office for $6. This gets you one dozen of their yummy
glazed donuts--and the certificate is also a coupon for $1 off additional dozens. The PTO gets $3 from every purchase!
So be the hero of your office break room, and at the same time the hero of your school's PTO! Thank you for your support!
